EdChoice Scholarship

A Catholic education is more affordable than ever! The EdChoice Expansion Scholarship Program provides state-funded scholarships to K-12 students and enables parents and students to choose the learning experience that best suits them. The scholarship amount is based on household income level and provides students the opportunity to attend a private school at no or a reduced cost.

The maximum scholarship for students in grades K-8 is currently $6,166 and $8,408 for grades 9-12. The amount each student receives varies based on household income. To find out how much your student could be eligible to receive, the Archdiocese of Cincinnati offers a Scholarship Calculator that provides an estimate based on current guidelines from the Ohio Department of Education.

One-time enrollment extends scholarship eligibility through high school. Once awarded, EdChoice Expansion Scholarships can be renewed annually and follow students through their senior year in high school.

The great news is that ALL students, regardless of family financial means, are entitled to EdChoice Scholarship funds. While financial need determines a student’s scholarship amount, every student is eligible for an EdChoice Scholarship.

How to apply: Parents and students must first apply for admission at Piqua Catholic. Once the student has been accepted for enrollment, our staff will walk you through the process to apply.
