MUSIC PROGRAMS
JUNIOR OPTIMIST CLUB
This club has been in existence at Piqua Catholic for over 30 years. It is sponsored by the Piqua Optimist Club whose mission is to empower young people through events and programs to make a positive impact. The Piqua Catholic Jr. Optimist Club has an annual Christmas and Easter celebration with our preschoolers. The Jr. Optimist Club also helps support student activities and events for Piqua Catholic School. Almost all 7th and 8th grade students are members of the club, and they meet monthly during the school day. The meetings are used for career education inviting speakers to introduce their education and responsibilities in their careers. The mentor for this club is Piqua Catholic teacher, Heather Smith.
STUDENT COUNCIL
The primary focus of the Student Council is to promote and hold activities for the students at Piqua Catholic School. They hold fundraisers to raise money for student and family activities and projects. The Student Council has held food drives, sponsored dances, and supported special outings (field trips, movie nights, skating nights) and social events for the students and families. The mentor for Student Council is Piqua Catholic teacher, Amy Woehrmyer.
