THIS WEEK AT PIQUA CATHOLIC SCHOOL: TUESDAY- Students may wear jeans with an Hawaiian shirt for $1.00 to support the Water for South Sudan Project. WEDNESDAY- Dine to Donate at Smoothie Life in Piqua from 3-7pm. A portion of all sales will benefit our school, so head to Smoothie Life this Wednesday. FRIDAY- Cavalier of the Quarter Assembly which will be held at our DOWNING ST campus beginning at 1:30. If you received a letter that your child will be receiving an award at our assembly, please enter through the Downing St campus FRONT DOORS no later than 1:15pm. Dismissal will be the same at both campuses with no change. LOOKING AHEAD- Jan. 20th there will be NO SCHOOL in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Hello from Cavaliers in Action, Piqua Catholic's PTO! It was so fun to see our students be so loving and thoughtful as they picked gifts at our Santa Shop this year. The students brought in money so they could shop for their family members, which we then wrapped their gifts so they could be taken home to place under the tree. The kids love giving gifts to their family! A big THANK YOU to our volunteers who helped set up, run our event, help with our start up costs, and all who donated bags. We couldn't do it without you! We would love to offer this event next year but we need more help! Would you like to give us a hand? For this event most of the prep can be done from home or on your own schedule by purchasing items on sale or shopping online, we like to have a wide variety of items to offer our students at the Santa Shop. The last two years we have only had 2 members on our planning committee. We will need at least 3 additional adults to commit in order to have a Santa shop next year. If you are interested but not sure you want to commit - feel free to call and inquire. We will provide you with training and support! Contact Ruthie Baker to learn more- (937)474-7306. This week at Piqua Catholic: Thursday-There will be a Cavaliers in Action (PTO) meeting in the North St library beginning at 5:30pm. All parents are welcome and encouraged to attend. UPCOMING EVENTS- Try-Outs for the Talent Show will be held on Thursday, January 23rd. Permission slips can be picked up at either school office. 🎶 The Talent Show is coming! 🎤 Our Annual Talent Show will be held Friday, January 31st during Catholic Schools Week. Students interested in trying out for the Talent Show can pick up a permission slip at either office beginning Monday, January 6th. Permission slips must be returned before trying out. Try Outs will be held on Thursday, January 23rd at 1:00pm. All students who try out must email their music to Mrs. Knapke at knapkec@piquacatholic.org no later than January 22nd unless they are playing an instrument. Good luck to all students!

LEHMAN CATHOLIC MIDDLE SCHOOL TENNIS CLASS! Lehman Catholic is starting a Middle School Tennis Team. These classes are a great way to prepare for the Spring middle school tennis season. For all Piqua Catholic 6-8th graders. BEGINNERS ONLY beginning January 11th and playing Saturdays: Jan 18, January 25th, February 1st, and February 8th. 2:00-3:00pm. FREE- 5 weeks.
