Hello Cavs!
We are excited and looking forward to the start of another successful basketball season. Last year we did a first time fundraiser / get together for boys basketball and it went very well! The fundraiser led to all three high school level teams wearing new Under Armour shooting shirts. This year the Scottish Thistle fundraiser will be on Monday, October 30th from 5:00pm - 9:00pm and the monies raised will go to all levels of basketball grades 2 - 12. This year we are expecting 90 to 100 boys to play basketball! We are planning to buy:
Youth - new practice jerseys
Jr High - new shooting shirts
High School - new basketballs
Please consider joining us at the Scottish Thistle in Piqua with your family for dinner and / or an evening out with adults to grab appetizers and drinks. Your continued support of the Lehman Boys Basketball Program is appreciated and we look forward to seeing you on October 30th.

Families- As stated in the Family Handbook, cell phones, smart watches, or other personal electronic devices (unless approved by school personnel for use) may NOT be used during school hours. If brought to school, they must be turned "OFF" during school hours (including extended care) and stored in their bookbag.
Smart watches have become more popular with younger kids, which I understand. They offer a great option to families for texting, calling, and location tracking. However, with other advancements in features (ie. video and picture taking, and web access) they have become similar in nature to cell phones. These features invite many risks and concerns for privacy and safety for our staff and students- the same as cell phones. We have already had several reports of students using watches and phones in the restrooms and other times throughout the day.
If students need to contact anyone during the day, they may do so in the front office by using school phones. They are not to use their phones or watches to send messages or make calls during school hours.
To assist you with this transition, we will give reminders to students to remove these watches, turn them off, and put them in their bookbags. By October 16, 2023, we will follow the procedures in the Family Handbook on page 21 (item 19), which may result in school personnel taking these items until the end of the day and/or until parents come and pick them up from school. Please reference the Family Handbook for full details.
Please send me a message or give me a call if you have any questions or concerns. Thank you for your help with this!
