Dear Piqua Catholic Family, 💛I wanted to take a moment to inform you of a new policy that will go into effect on March 10th. Attached to this email is a copy of the new law signed by Governor Mike Dewine in May. This law will be implemented in the 2025-2026 school year, and schools are required to have a cell phone policy in place by July 25th, 2025. Piqua Catholic has decided to begin our new policy starting in the 4th quarter of this school year. The new policy states that if students bring a cell phone to school, it must be turned off and placed in the main office in the moming. Students may pick up their phones at the end of the day, and they will be stored securely. The current policy of requiring students to keep their phones off during the day has not been effective. The administrative staff believe this new policy will be in the best interest of our students. Thank you for your understanding and support.💙 Cyndi Cathcart

CAN YOU HELP? We are looking for a parent to "run" 🏃♂️the Run Club from March 17th until our combined Fun Run with St. Pats at the beginning of May.
Practices are every Monday and Wednesday after school until 5pm.
Several teachers will be there to help but we need a parent to chair this event. If you would be interested please call the North St office. 💙Thank you!💛

As the third quarter is coming to a close, the Water for South Sudan Team is working hard toward meeting their goal of raising $1,000 for a donation to the Water for South Sudan organization. This group drills clean water wells in South Sudan, Africa. Students have taken time out of their own days to lead fundraisers and spirit days. 💙From hat and tie dye days to the aluminum can drive and concession stand style snack shack on Fridays in their social studies class, the 6th grade students have been nothing short of inspiring. ❤️Keep an eye out for updates and reminders over the next few weeks as they’re gearing up for the most successful fundraiser from years past. More news and information about that will be hopping onto the app and our school’s Facebook page in the next few weeks. If you’d like more information regarding the work the 6th grade Water for South Sudan Team is doing, please reach out to Mr. Lyons for more. As always, THANK YOU to all who have donated items and money to the team’s cause, and we look forward to the continued support. Without your help, these students wouldn’t have the opportunity to help change the world.💙💛 Keep up the incredible work 6th grade!
