Just as a reminder as we head into colder months, please label the inside of your child's sweatshirts and jackets. Check the attached pictures of our Lost and Found at our North St campus. If you see something that's yours or are missing items, please contact the office or stop into the school any time during school hours. As the temperature dips colder we still head outside for recess and kids will need to bundle up. ❄️🧣 Items labeled are easy to return but our Lost and Found is growing and it isn't even November! Call the North St office to claim any items at 773-1564.

The LCJHAthletics.com Winter Registrations are now open for 7th/8th grade boys and girls basketball, Cheer, and Wrestling!! Please take a moment to sign up for your sport of choice. Browse to LCJHAthletics.com and click the registration page at the top. Please note that you are not part of the team until this step has been completed and fees are paid. This week at Piqua Catholic: MONDAY- No School, enjoy the day off for Columbus Day. TUESDAY- Support the Water for Sudan project, for $1.00 students may wear jeans and a tie-dye shirt. Chocolate Bar Fundraiser- The Preschool will be starting their Worlds Finest Chocolate Candy Bar fundraiser. Each bar is only $1.00 and would be great for trick or treat night. More information will come home with the students but contact the office with any questions. Bottles for Babies- students will be bringing home baby bottles as a community project to support the Elizabeth’s New Life Center. By throwing in loose change now until November 25th students will be helping provide much needed supplies. MARK YOUR CALENDARS: There will be no Aftercare at either campus on Friday, December 13th for the staff Christmas party. There will be an EARLY DISMISSAL Friday, December 20th at 1:15. Wear pink 💗 and watch the Lehman Cavaliers take on the Covington Buccaneers TONIGHT at our annual PINK OUT 🏈game. Kick-off is at 7 p.m., but plan to join us for a special pregame ceremony to recognize our State Final Four Cavalier Football Alumni. Jr. High students get in free, face painting by the sophomores\ and the Lil'Cav Cheerleaders perform at half-time. Go, Cavs! 💙💛

Looking for something fun to do this weekend? The K of C Hayride will be held THIS Saturday, October 12th from 5pm-Midnight. There will be food, drinks, a live auction and more! (sorry kids just for Adults😉) Tickets are $30.00 and can be purchased at the Knights of Columbus Hall. It's going to be a spook-tacular event!

Don't forget! Kona Ice will be available at the North St campus THIS Friday, October 11th from 1:00-3:00pm. See the attached flier on ways to purchase this special treat!

Next Tuesday the Preschool will be starting their first fundraiser of the school year with a "World's Finest Chocolate" bar fundraiser! Once students return the permission slip which will be going home next Tuesday, October 15th, each student will get a box of chocolate bars to sell. Each chocolate bar is only $1.00 and would be great to hand out for Trick or Treat! Some lucky winners will get a Golden Ticket in their boxes, which is good for a 1-pound chocolate bar! Prizes will be awarded to the top sellers. Good luck everyone!

Last Chance! Students were given order forms yesterday to order books from Author and Illustrator, Jonathan Miller. We will continue taking order forms at both campuses until tomorrow at the end of the day. So, hurry and order your books today!

Tomorrow, October 8th students are able to wear jeans and a sports jersey of their choice for $1.00. This money was originally to be gathered to support our Student Council but we will now be donating this to provide critical relief to Hurricane Helene's victims. Thank you for your generous support❤️

The 6th grade class is sponsoring their first fundraiser during their journey through the Iron Giraffe Challenge. The goal of the challenge is to raise money for the Water for South Sudan organization to help them dig clean water wells in South Sudan, Africa. The team of students will host several fundraisers this year, and the first one started today with an aluminum can drive. All cans donated during this drive will be recycled to earn money that will be added to the team’s donation total. The group will take all types of aluminum drink cans, but leave soup and vegetable cans at home. Help out the Water for South Sudan team by bringing in as many empty, aluminum cans as you can to your homeroom until Friday at 3:15pm.

Dear Parents, We are excited to introduce the Virtues in Practice program, designed for our students in grades K-8 to help them grow in virtue. Throughout the school year, our entire school community will focus on the same virtue each month, covering a total of 27 virtues over a three-year cycle. This year, we will begin with the theological virtue of faith, exploring a different aspect of this virtue each month. The program emphasizes learning and role-playing in the classroom and encourages students to engage in monthly projects at home. These projects aim to help students practice the virtues in real-life situations. Teachers will send home a list of project choices that will be completed at home each month along with a simple reflection form which will need to be returned to school at the end of each month, signed by both parents and students. This reflection will help reinforce the learning and engagement with the virtue. Look for more information coming home from your teachers. We appreciate your support and involvement in this meaningful initiative!

This week at Piqua Catholic School: Tuesday: Students may wear Jeans and a sports jersey for $1.00 to support the Student Council. See the attached flier for more "Jeans Day" dates! Thursday: There will be a Cavaliers In Action (PTO) meeting in the North St library beginning at 5:30. All are invited to attend. Friday: The Kona Ice truck will be in the North St parking lot from 1:00-3:00pm for all students who would like to purchase a special afternoon treat! Check out the attached flier for more information. This week starts our Aluminum Can Drive! Students may bring in aluminum cans (no soup cans) to help the Jr High’s Water for South Sudan Project. Unfortunately, Crooked Handle let us know this morning that the batch of John 6 Ale that was canned this week is "skunked" most likely from a bad batch of yeast and so they will not be offering it at the concert tomorrow. Sorry everyone! Please still plan to head out to Lock 9 park for the FREE concert Saturday evening at 7:30p,m. There will be food trucks and LIVE music from the blues rock group the "Eric Jerardi Band". Stay tuned for more info on when you can try some John 6 Ale!

MARK YOUR CALENDARS! The Student Council Officers will once again be having Jeans Days for $1.00! Mark your calendars now for the below listed dates: THIS Tuesday, October 8th- students may wear jeans with an Athletic Jersey. Monday, October 28th- students may wear jeans with a Fall Colored shirt. Tuesday, November 26th- students may wear jeans with an Ohio St or Michigan shirt. Students can always wear a Spirit Wear shirt if they do not have one of these themed shirts. 💛Thank you for supporting Student Council.

Attention all wrestlers! There will be a Wrestling meeting for all players and their parents on October 21st at the Lehman High School cafeteria from 6 to 7pm. This meeting is for ALL students interested in wrestling, K-12! We have a youth level (K-6), junior high (7th/8th) and high school (9-12). Parent teacher conferences are Wednesday 4:00-7:00pm and Thursday 2:00-6:00pm by appointment. Please reach out to your child's teacher if you need additional information or an appointment. Specials teachers will be in the library for conferences as needed. Also, Thursday is a two hour early release!

This week at Piqua Catholic: Tomorrow, September 30th will be Picture Day for Preschool/ PreK/ Kindergarten and 1st grade students. The Preschoolers will be starting a "Tiny Saints" fundraiser this week so watch for more information to come home from their teachers. Wednesday and Thursday this week is Parent-Teacher Conferences so be sure to sign up with your child's teacher(s).
